I have an 11-yr old car with 106K miles that runs well. Last night I was rear-ended quite hard while waiting at a red light. Both the other driver and his insurance co immediately admitted liability. My insurance company wants to use reconditioned parts, and they are pressuring us to accept a check made out to us and the finance company. Not enough to pay it off or fix it. Just a warning anyone thinking of taking out car insurance or renewing their car insurance with the AA check with many other companies first, the quote they have just given me is DOUBLE that of any other like (Direct line,LV,Barclays ect ect) the AA are brokers and the insurance they offered is supposed to be the cheapest they could fined from LV and when I went on the LV web site to get a quote it was half that the AA had quoted.

Does insurance cover braces if you have a crossbite?

About 3 weeks ago I went to the orthodontic and he said I have a crossbite plus this tooth that looks like it's pushed back into my mouth.. Anyways he said maybe in 1-2 months I would get a letter saying if my insurance accepted. My questio nis, does insurance cover and accepts if you have a crossbite and that tooth ?

What are we paying for when we buy car Insurance?

Does any one notice that we shell out thousands of dollars from our income for car insurance, and the insurance company gives us nothing back? Sure, if we get into a car accident, they cover the costs, but then they raise your rate. And you are paying far more than the cost of the accident anyway. And then if you don't get into an accident, what is all that money for? They don't give it back. I just think its odd that we are required by law to pay for nothing, after we already have paid for the car. And then if you don't, you are penalized and punished, so you are given no choice. But really, you're paying all this money and getting nothing back. WTF

I am a college student, My campus is about 16-20 miles away. on a weekly average i expect to ride about 80 miles or so. i won't be doing any stunts, period. there are two questions i have for you guys, 1). whats the best motorcycle insurance for someone young, inexperienced and new on the road? 2). Being that it is a 500cc engine and its pretty low powered motorcycle will my insurance be cheap, like under 200$ a month or probably something way above that?

HELP! Do I need car insurance if I don't own a car and don't drive much in the state of Florida?

I am 16 years old and State Farm is calling me and it is getting annoying. I don't own a car and I don't drive much. When I do drive I borrow the car that is under my sister's name. My parent's don't drive. My dad's license is expired and he doesn't drive anymore, and my mom doesn't know how to drive at all. I keep hearing conflicting things, some say that it is a law in the state of Florida (where I live) that anyone with a license needs to have insurance, while others say that it is not necessary to have insurance if you don't own a vehicle and don't drive much. My question is: Do I need car insurance in the state of Florida if I do not own a car and don't drive much? Thanks!

If you have AAA auto insurance?

Have you received a rebate? I am thinking of changing my auto and home insurance to them. They are not much cheaper than my current provider so I was reluctant to change, especially my home owners as I have heard it is not wise to switch home owners insurance in California. Anyway, the guy at AAA said they give back a rebate at the end of each year for 5%-7% of your policy cost if you do not have any tickets or accidents. I have searched to see if this is in fact true or if it is something they use to get you to sign up and then for some reason not qualify for it. Just wondering if anyone who has the insurance has got a rebate before or if anyone has heard of this? Thanks

People who can't afford health insurance are quacks?

i see the merits of having universal health care, kind of, but it seems to me that the problem is a lot of middle class citizens who just decide nto to purchase health insurance on the premise that they cannot afford it , and instead opt to buy material goods that are solely for luxury. you cant go out and buy nice cars and houses and bypass health insurance and then cry it off that the government should give free care to everryone.......i definitely agree it should be cheaper for the poor etc. bottom line: ppl need to realize health is the most important thing in there life, and satisfy that need, before thinking about personal possesions (nice cars etc)

ok i applied for insurance (blue cross blue shield) right when i found out i was prego (I am 3 months now.)I told the salesman i was prego. He said he will get my cards out to me asap. 3 months passed and i was waiting for my cards. Then i spoke with some1 else i told them i need my cards cause im prego they said OH NO u can not apply while bein prego. Soo they denied me. WHAT DO I DO!! Medicaid wont accept me. Homeowners insurance question?

I've carried my auto and homeowners insurance with State Farm for about 15 years. I've had multiple auto claims but only one claim on my homeowners poicy. I had my roof replaced about four years ago when most houses in the area were damaged by hail. I've been very happy dealing with state farm but I'm considering a change to travelers. Travelers sent me a quote that if accurate reduces my homeowner insurance to about $900 per year as compared to the slightly lower benefits from State Farm which is costing $1200 every six months. What opinion do you have of these two companies and what do you base it on. Will Travelers drop me after the first claim and do they pay claims quickly? Please give your opinion on my making a change. Thanks.

Hi there, My dad was involved in a car accident where the other party was at fault in WA state. Both parties have same insurance company. The Insurance company deemed the car as a total loss and sent a check of $4000. Meanwhile my dad had to go to a doctor because his neck is super stiff.
